Some Rockwell Milling Machine Additions
« on: September 30, 2017, 11:43:00 AM »
I've been somewhat busy at work, but in my spare time, I've been working on some additional fixtures for the Rockwell milling machine.

I first took a plate of 1/2" aluminum, 12" x 24" and drilled and tapped 253 holes, 127 of them 1/2"-13 and 126 of the 3/8"-16. The mounted the plate on the mill.

1 - the plate
2 - on the mill
3 - on the mill

Nice work Jack!

That's pretty neat idea. you get a lot of versatility there.

I assume that the aluminum doesn't flex any at that thickness.
Started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I think that could be an issue in a much heavier milling machine but that machine is just not heavy enough for that to be an issue in my opinion.
