70 CFM at under 400lbs
« on: May 21, 2017, 12:09:23 AM »
I can't stop buying schit this month. lol

This was one CL when I looked this morning. Decided it was something I needed. Meter shows 375 hrs and it looks like new. Horrible ethanol gas has rotted the fuel line, but the Honda V-Twin fired right off with a drink down the carb (I love Honda small engines). Should make plenty of air when the 18 cfm regular shop compressor isn't enough.

Looks good. Can hardly go wrong with a Honda.
My wife asked me why a carry a gun in the house. I said "decepticons", she laughed, I laughed and the toaster laughed.
I shot the toaster.

Amazing what can be stuffed into such a small package. I haven't kept up with screw compressor technology, but that is a slick setup -- congratulations.

Yah the little screw unit is no bigger than a couple 16oz beer can side-by-side.

The CL ad had absolutely no description except "Good Tires" (LOL they were both flat). If there hadn't been a second picture with the model number, I would have passed it up as a mis-listed generator. I've never personally seen a screw compressor in such a small set up.

Screw compressors really grind out a load of CFM. I did my college internship with Gardner Denver Compressor in Sedalia, Missouri in 1989. Very interesting the way they work, and what they do is quite phenomenal.

It's the smallest engine drive screw I've ever seen. You can get smaller electric screws. IR go down to 5 horse IIRC. Nice units if you've got the budget.

I had no idea screw drives are even made so small.

They're not common. Only reason I'm aware of 'em is I had to spec one for a clandestine manufacturing operation in a strip mall smackmyself
