Old Chevy
« on: June 15, 2017, 11:39:30 PM »
It is almost as old as I am, so yeah its old.  Saw this for sale 300 miles west of me on my recent trip.  1953 Chevy business man coupe.  Note the shorter roof and back side windows.  Some of these did not have a backseat,  instead they had a linoleum covered shelf for salesman sample cases.   Also had a much deeper trunk.  About a twin my dad bought when I was a kid.  Might even be the same one!  For sale, but can't bring up the price.  Like?

Love it! grandfather had a 48 then a 54, then a 62 Impala then a 71 Impala. Dad had a 64 impala, cousin's had 63 and 64 Impalas as well.

Have a soft spot for full size Chevys even though I'm a Mopar boy.

I think it's pretty cool.
My wife asked me why a carry a gun in the house. I said "decepticons", she laughed, I laughed and the toaster laughed.
I shot the toaster.

That model looked wicked when turned into a solid front axle gasser. I like 53's myself, though like most folks not nearly as much as I do the 55-57 models.
You boys better hold on cause i'm gonna have to stand on it!

Does the need justify the want ? Or does the want suffice?

That scalloped box end is one of the few BB features that doesn't make Elroy puke

Nice, not a Chevy guy but I would make an exception for that. And if its been rodded someone did a low key job.
