Feed Me! (Weld Wire)
« on: November 20, 2017, 05:56:27 PM »
Picked this LN 25 off of you-know-where last Friday after work. Extra 2 hrs of driving going home, but worth it to nab this for about what a 110v garbage freight unit goes for. A voltage sensing feeder sure beats running stick on bigger jobs out of the shop. Plus, it always seemed like if I needed dual shield, I have hard wire or flux core loaded (or vice versa), so this should fix that problem 50% of the time. These Pro models are a little funky, and I'd much prefer a Miller 12VS, but I'm cheap.

Nice grab
There is a very fine line between a hobby and a mental illness.

Does the need justify the want ? Or does the want suffice?

Sounds like a good deal to me.  I see quite a few wire feeders on kijiji around here but they aren't selling very cheap.
In fact there's lots of welding rigs for sale around here as the oil patch is in the gutter right now.
I'm just a guy in a garage with some tools...
