Estate Find
« on: March 17, 2018, 02:30:31 PM »
My wife spotted an estate sale just down the road from our house today so we decided to take a look.

Mostly junk regarding tools but this one stuck out and made it home with me.  I'm not a woodworker but it looks to be a lightly used quality Craftsman with only light surface rust.

I felt it was worth $5.

Definitely a good find -- and for $5 it's a steal. The 1972 catalog lists it (#37054) as their best model --

craftsman planes of that era were top notch quality. I have a big one my dad bought years ago and it is a beauty.
You boys better hold on cause i'm gonna have to stand on it!
