Thanks guys.  I had some reservations about going to get it because it was a 250 mile round trip, but decided to get it since the weather was good and I never, EVER, see Plomb stuff around here.  It was as good as advertised.  There was grease in the box that cleaned up well with a little elbow grease and WD 40.  The pics below are how it looked in the ad.  It is in incredibly good original condition.   thumbsup2
This car is a pile of crap. Noisy, rattly, slow and underpowered and has a reputation for being unreliable. I want one.

That is a very cool piece.  Hard to top that in a collection
That scalloped box end is one of the few BB features that doesn't make Elroy puke

The one I have is made by Duplex of Sherman , N.Y. Just  outside Jamestown , N.Y. where Crescent tools are made. That is a really nice box. The one I have is a piece of crap compared to yours.

same here uncle buck. i never thought of it before but it kind of reminds me of my montezuma boxes. sturdy, simple,  fairly weather proof  and you can see everything when you open the lid.

Howbout the P&C version.

Probably even less likely I'd see a P & C box like that around here, Jabber!   :-\
