Speaking of shelf liner, I take the perforated foam rubber variety and cut it to fit the shelves in my van. Keeps loose tools for rolling around on the shelf and helps reduce the noise of things rattling around, too.

Walrus,  With that kind of rust, was wondering if that vehicle was parked in a garage overnight?   Was noticing that the late model stuff routinely driven in slop, then parked inside rusted worse than those left outside, they just didn't dry off.  More humid inside a garage.  Had a decent day, bought a nail holding hammer at the thrift.

Assisted in two patch panels going onto a 73 bug, two more to go and the restoration can really get going.  Then a tune-oil change on an Atos which went well.   I did all but the bloody gas filter, the boss did that as I did everything else up front.   He struggled as I did on them.  Not easy access.

Sold a faked vintage tool tote to a brake shop.  Not as decor but to be filled with the shop tools.   Lol!!!!   I never would have guessed the outcome.   I hope they enjoy having it.

Now home and talking with my son on anything and everything small kids talk about.    Quality time is what they call it I think.   It's kinda fun.

Classic Americana in central Mexico is a bit out of place.  Lol!

The family kinda gets it from lots of exposure but otherwise only 2nd gen mechanics get it.

The depression part means nothing to them like history here is lost there.  But they get working man's toolbox because we still do this here today, daily.  Look at my work kit.

Home made storage and mixed pedigree, enough to get the jobs done without bling.   The concept has never changed.

Cookie sheets are good for setting greasy items on the work on as they continue to leak out oils.  I've also used them as shelf liners for spray chemicals. leaks don't go everywhere then. thumbsup2
