Battery charger connections
« on: December 26, 2017, 10:21:11 PM »
I`m trying to hook up a pair of clamps to my spare battery charger cable.
Problem is none of the fittings show + or - and are both the same color.
Does it matter ?

Not till you hook those wires up to the charger. Then you better have the polarity correct or somethings gonna go boom when you put a battery on there.

Take a DC voltage reading at the old leads -- the volt meter will tell you what the polarity is.

Well I could not get a reading out of the charger as it`s a smart charger and only sends power out if it senses a need but..
My mate pointed out the wiring diagram on the back  frustrated what a dope I is  panicx.
I remember someone telling me about these  before.
So it`s all good.
