 i saw a picture of three matching vintage ratchets in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 and thought. how cool as that? being as i have a few triple plays i thought it might be cool to see how they all look together. if you have a matching triple or even a quad with a 3/4 let's see em.

i will start with the classic sk round heads. 40970, 45170 and 42470.  i will add the 3/4 later

Good idea for a thread! I think I have a set of S-K ratchets with the older diamond logo and patent number. I'll take a look around.

I have been working on several ratchet sets like Thorsen open-gear, older Williams Superratchets, and Wright contours. But I am embarrassed to have at this time the only set, an old set of Craftsman round-heads (tri-wings), not RHFT. Some of the guys have already seen these. I sold 'em back in 2010 for $25 for all and I felt bad enough about that as it is. I bought them new as part of larger sets in the late 80s or early 90s and never used them.

One would think that with 470-ish ratchets, there would be a fair number of triples in the obess... er, collection, but there aren't   I'm thinking I've got maybe 6 to 10 sets of three, and that's including a little mix 'n match with slightly varying style changes or age.  I've been mostly focused on differences within any particular brand - got over a 100 brands now.   Now if you'll take 2 out of 3 drive sizes, I do believe I got good coverage there...

It'll take some time to get a few crappy cell phone pics - they're bunched in numerous drawers by drive size and manufacturer/source, not so much by individual brands.  Someday I'm gonna get 'em organized better.....

Same with me, I've got a lot of two-ratchet sets but not many triple plays. While I was looking for my S-K diamond logo ratchets I found that I had three of the Thorsen open-gear ratchets. I honestly forgot when I completed the set.
