I rather like that. It must get plenty of double takes from people on the road. You could win a few bar bets also. thumbsup2

OK, I have eyeballed that rig a half dozen times or so now and I cannot find it agreeable. I like old GTO's and I love that vintage of Chevy/GMC trucks. I cannot find that I like seeing them married up like that though.  panicx
You boys better hold on cause i'm gonna have to stand on it!

Haha,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Talked with him about 2 weeks ago.  He is busy helping with some aging folks and he has been going to conductor school for the B&O Railroad Museum.(he is almost done I think)  He is really into history and railroads.  He did change jobs at the university a while back and is doing well.  It was a good upward move.  Overall I would say he is in a good place.

When I saw GTO truck was immediately thinking about a Tempest 4 door that was converted back in the 70s.  It was T boned on the drivers side, and pieced back together.  Only he used a door from a two door hardtop on that side.   Then removed the deck lid and that large plate between the window and decklid.   Put in a shortened ElCamino box.  Sure would give you a double take.  This one, not for me, besides I really needed that front clip for a car I have.

I searched "GTO truck" and then images and this picture showed up. Pretty clear shot. There were also some GTO Caminos.

Reminds me of one I saw around 1994 at a swap meet in Lawrence, ks.  They took an elcomino and put a Pontiac front clip on it.  Didn't look half bad  lolx

Strikes me that the "square body" GM pickups were considerably wider than the mid sixties mid-size GM cars like Chevelle, Tempest (Goats), Cutlasses etc.  So I'm a-agonna call fotoshop on this
