Sold my Dads Tacoma pu and since I have a utility trailer I decided on a Van for my around the shop/yard needs. I decided after reading some threads about AWD Astros to go that route.
Me and my son have gotten into hiking and some of the roads are a bit rough for my DD. I added 2" to the subframe and added longer shackles in the rear. Also had the pleasure of redoing the front suspension. These vans have a laundry list of issues but overall are pretty stout. Will see for myself. LOL I added taller tires that are ice and snow rated. I have a transfer case to convert it to 4WD but not so sure I'll need it. Have a roof top tent to keep room inside the van but will have to reinforce the roof. I will eventually add kitchen stuff but will have to be removable as I want to haul stuff like lumber and car parts etc. Not cool (like Mikes van) but it just need to be practical.
