I've made  little progress over the last couple weeks....got the drivetrain tidied up and installed. Six new U-joints and three cleaned and painted driveshafts. New copper nickel brake lines, steel fuel lines and brakes all around too.

...and a new exhaust. Three cylinders per pipe should sound good. Pardon the blurry images, I am incapable of using anti-seize without getting it everywhere and apparently I got some on the camera lens. We need a 'stupid hippie' emoji.

A reminder of how it looked a few months ago...

Looking great

Sent from the twisted mind of the Mudman.

"And on the 8th day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, "I need a caretaker." So God made a farmer."

That does look great.

So, the question is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,will it see snow driving after this go around?
That scalloped box end is one of the few BB features that doesn't make Elroy puke

Thanks all for the kind words!

Never say never  :) If there is a time where I feel I need to, I will.

Or maybe I can finish the MG and put some snow tires on it!

Super sweet!

I cant quite tell from the patches pic. Are those holes drilled in the plates, so you can MIG weld them up similar to a spot weld?

That looks awesome. Can't wait to see it finished. You do good work. Not just some half assed fixes that some people do.
And anti-seize... touch it once and they can see everywhere you go for a week afterwards.
I think it's a scientific fact that as soon as you start using anti-seize your nose gets itchy.

The frame patches? Yeah, i have a nifty/neato pneumatic hole punch from Princess Auto that makes quick, burr free holes that take a rosette weld nicely. When painted they look like factory spot welds.

The key to doing these rosette welds is having the ground on the frame, not the patch.

Thanks Bruce!!

i took a break from the Tr yesterday to do some maintenance on the truck...it needed a cab corner, a weld to the rear bumper from the texter who clipped me and it had a fuel leak. So i thought it would be best to pull the box!

Off, repairs and back on in four hours....woohoo!!!  But I left a dollop of anti-seize on the back of the steering wheel that plagued me for hours. Pride goeth before a fall!

I remember when you got that truck and painted it. Doesn't seem like that long ago.
