An old MOPAR for some of you
« on: June 22, 2017, 09:39:12 PM »
Got into town Just as a little car show was ending.   Looks to be a 48 Dodge,   Has a V8 and automatic,  with the coil spring front end it should be a good highway cruiser.  Just not your usual hotrod.  OK, got to like this

Not a Mopar fan, but for a more door Mopar surprisingly that one does not look so bad. It needs different wheels though.

Not my dream car but would be great for cruising with the grand babies.
That scalloped box end is one of the few BB features that doesn't make Elroy puke

Same here

I would like a cruiser for when the kids are old enough to go along and go for drives on Sundays in the summer.

I noticed there was no clutch pedal, and had a large modern (1960s)  brake pedal.  Driver was about 40,  ushered 3 youguns into the back, wife  in front and headed home trying to beat the storm.  I would bet the wheels were put on when it was built 20 some years ago, and they were probably used then.

His poor choice in wheels make the car look shitty.
