ceiling fan repair and repaint
« on: August 12, 2017, 12:04:43 AM »
The motor and blades had been dumped in the patio long ago.   Rust had set in and the motor still ran smoothly.  So I built a new base for it and a shield for the electrical stuff.   Then sanded and sprayed the blades and body.

Far from perfect but the idea is quadruple my money in a quick sale and be rid of it.  And it shall be gone by early next week.

It goes to the shop tomorrow and from there the sale begins.

Looks like that one was a breeze.

I had not dedicated much time in one setting to it at all.   Maybe five times poking at it when I got bored.
Tonight the image change was the big improvement.

I know two guys that would want one near the shop so seems safe to try.

I'm not a big fan of these type of comments.
I'm just a guy in a garage with some tools...

Just before 2;30 I asked the right guy if he might be interested.

Boom and gone.  Full asking price of 4X my tiny investment.  Happy buyer and happier me.   A cool wqy to end the work week.
