What does everyone thing about this one? Good deal?  coffeex

It's amazing how often I see a toolbox with a bunch of shitty Chicrap bundled together for a king's ransom.  Usually the box isn't anything special either.   SHF
This car is a pile of crap. Noisy, rattly, slow and underpowered and has a reputation for being unreliable. I want one.

quite a bit for a mid sized roll cab I think.

matco tool box - $3000 (columbia)

Matco box for sale in excellent condition

I see stuff like that a lot.  Looks like a fair deal for two grand.

Wonder what the fatman thinks?!

Funny you should ask lolx  Before I saw your post, I was evaluating my response.

First, the color, like it or not, is very sellable.  I have never had an extreme green box, they always sell for more then I can pay.

What I see there is a Matco 4 series.  They don't bring premium money.  I have sold them from $1000 (rough) to probably $1800 for a real nice one.  At $2k for a cool color, that is top of the mark.  It would have to be in excellent shape and of course it is CL so there is wiggle room.

I was thinking that box might be worth $1500 but owner has been fishing for a while too.

I don't know, that looks like quite a bit of genuine USA made rust to me.  lolx

That's a really nice box (even though I don't like the color (gotta be red)).
It's also a lot of money.
Not too sure what that would go for new so I can't say what kinda deal that is.

Me either but I think that's a lot of money for an empty box

What does everyone thing about this one? Good deal?  coffeex

1) a bit pricey,

2) the boxes need a good F***ing scrub with WD40 and a 3m scuff pad, and

3) the tools add less than nothing to the deal. fishslap fishslap

wow, 70k.  i dunno where to even start.

the box empty may do 1k tops.  id say 700ish

for the other 69k-- where is it.  There is way far to much room in those drawers.  70k that box better be overflowing with golden snap on tools and a hot female in the side box that blows you every time you breathe in the vicinity of the box.

the repair manuals are not worth the paper they are printed on.  i know old manuals cost money when new, my work has a crap load of them.  yet this thing called the internet made them obsolete.  dont need the book when it is archived  online.

"      Im selling this for my dad please no BS i am a cop so no scams
he his over 120k in the tools plus the tool box he has retired and don't need it anymore   "

It looks like he was a writing major in college with a good side of economics too.      Poor or lazy writing skills coupled to a big price tag raise a red flag for me.   I simply couldn't take him seriously, cop or not.   The first impression has failed him.

Dad may have paid over 120G but resale of older well used tools is another story.    He'll figure it out on the 4th listing of the kit.
