Dynamo
« on: July 15, 2017, 01:23:58 AM »
Never been in this area before, but thought this fit here. I have a terrible habit of bringing home forlorn antiquated old electric devices. This one I couldn't resist, a early 1900's Robbins & Myers Dynamo. This thing weighs about 300 lbs and puts out 110 volts DC. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it but I going to figure it out.

Love it :-*

Does the need justify the want ? Or does the want suffice?

Exactly what I was thinking. Get some of those old Frankenstein lightbulbs to light up for the fun of it.

You might get some info on smokestack.com  they have an old electrical section. Some pretty sharp guys there.
